Welcome to FridgeChef! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FridgeChef mobile application ("App") provided by FridgeChef ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FridgeChef, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
FridgeChef is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to:
- Identify ingredients from photos of your refrigerator or pantry
- Generate personalized recipe suggestions based on detected ingredients
- Provide cooking instructions and nutritional information
- Allow you to save and organize recipes
- Connect with Thermomix devices for guided cooking (Premium feature)
3. Account Registration
You may use certain features of the App without an account. To access all features, including saving recipes across devices, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
4. Premium Subscription
Subscription Terms
FridgeChef Premium is available at $4.99 per month. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the current subscription rate
- Free Trial: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
5. Cancellation and Refunds
How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings:
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > FridgeChef > Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > FridgeChef > Cancel
Refund Policy: Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly, as we do not have access to process refunds for app store purchases.
Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Premium features until then.
6. User Responsibilities
Important Food Safety Notice
You are solely responsible for verifying all recipe ingredients for allergies, dietary restrictions, and food safety. Always check ingredients before cooking, especially if you or others have food allergies. FridgeChef provides AI-generated suggestions and cannot guarantee the accuracy of ingredient detection or recipe suitability.
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
- Not use the App to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Verify all food-related information for safety and accuracy
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by FridgeChef and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. AI-generated recipes are provided for personal use only.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The AI ingredient detection will be 100% accurate
- Generated recipes will be suitable for your dietary needs
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRIDGECHEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Personal injury or health issues arising from recipe preparation
- Allergic reactions to ingredients
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the service
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including OpenAI (for AI processing), Cookidoo/Thermomix (for device integration), and payment processors. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
